10 years and we would do it again!
This was our 10th year competing with MAC. As always, events were on time, fun, friendly and appropriate! More than that, though, my daughters always come away with a new friend or 6! These girls are #growingupmac and I couldn't be happier about it. Everyone from the staff, to the director, the contestants and their families as well as even the venue staff are all friendly and accommodating. We have tried other systems and have never found the feeling of home we feel at MAC!
We have been competing in a different pageant system for three years and we weren't very fond of it. We decided to try MAC and it was so much better. It was such a relaxing and fun weekend. You weren't rushing from competition to competition, they gave you time to chill out. The pageant staff treated us like family. By the end of the first competition, they knew us all by name. We will definitely be competing in this pageant system next year. Maybe even again this year for an out of state title!
My 7 year-old daughter was the competitor, and she had done other natural pageants before, but had a particularly fun time at MAC because of its smaller size. She got to know the other contestants and the stress level was minimal because everything was so well-run, with updates to parents regarding times and locations of events, and everything went on time. As a parent, I particularly liked the fact that the workshops and rehearsals are run by an adult (a former judge from nationals at that!), so the girls truly get good feedback during practices and everyone is hearing the same thing. Also, I like parents NOT being allowed to watch the rehearsals for the opening number, so the girls can be themselves and it gave me a break for some solo Starbucks downtime! Plus it was enjoyable to watch the opening number with a "fresh" eye. Had a fun weekend.
My daughter had an excellent time!!!

IF I WIN MY MAC STATE PAGEANT, WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED OF ME?
Each MAC STATE PAGEANT WINNER is required to attend the National MAC Pageant to compete for the Queen's title for her age group. If the state pageant winner does not sign the MAC State Winner’s contract & attend the National MAC Pageant during the week of Thanksgiving in Lake Buena Vista, FL, she will forfeit her state title, all prizes, & cash awards.
DO I HAVE TO DO A TALENT TO COMPETE IN A MAC PAGEANT?
Our talent competition is optional. It is scored by a separate panel of judges than the panel that selects the overall queen in each age division. Optional contests have absolutely no bearing on who wins the pageant.
