Cailee Blackington, Massachusetts
Hello! My name is Cailee Blackington and I am your reigning Miss American Jr. Teen Hostess 2018. As a 16 year old junior at Plymouth North High School, I place a lot of emphasis on my academics. I am a honors student in the prestigious BioMedical Technologies program and with that knowledge, I plan to one day become an animal behaviorist. This is a career very close to my heart because I volunteer a majority of my time to the Black Feather Horse Rescue in Plymouth, MA. At the rescue we take in injured or neglected horses and help them recover and find their forever home. I also have a huge passion for the arts which is evident in my everyday life. I have been in 9 shows to date including Les Mis, Bye Bye Birdie, and Suessical.
Advice for young girls
My advice for young girls is to be always yourself! Without being authentic and true to yourself you will get nowhere in life. Embrace who you are and let you're own light shine through! "Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world" - Lucille Ball
Favorite thing about MAC
My favorite part of competing in MAC is meeting so many incredible girls. At nationals the past two years year, I have been lucky to meet over 100 contestants from all over the United States who were unbelievably kind and shared my interests. It's because of our close bond that I still keep in touch with numerous girls and talk to them on a regular basis. I love how MAC embraces these friendships and truly makes us feels like one big pageant family.
