The Fitness Wear Modeling competition is only open to Jr. Teens, Teens, Coeds and Ms. contestants. Contestants will model age-appropriate fitness, aerobic or yoga attire. The outfit may be any color, one or two piece, long or short. Bare midriffs are acceptable. Shoes may be tennis shoes, athletic shoes or Keds. Contestants may not wear high-heel tennis shoes and the outfit may not be a thong. The outfit shouldn’t be too small or revealing, it should be something that you would buy off the rack at a department or sporting goods store. Small rhinestones and bead accents are allowed although they should not take away from the outfit or the contestant.
This is an upbeat and fun event! The setting is an upscale department store fashion show. Contestants’ demeanor should be upbeat and positive, not pouty or demure. Contestants should use turns, hesitations, and walks to express themselves. This is not a fitness routine competition. Do not perform jumping jacks, push-ups, or flexing poses.
Judging will be based on outfit, figure, fitness, posture, and confidence. MAC Pageants will provide music. Age appropriate makeup may be worn in all age divisions. Fitness Wear Modeling performances have a time limit of 45 seconds. At 45 seconds, a timer will sound and the music will fade out. At that time you must stop modeling. No points will be deducted from your score if this occurs. The 45 second limit is enforced so each contestant models for the same amount of time and so we can stay on schedule.
A $150 Sponsor Fee is required for each Fitness Wear Modeling entry. Sponsors may be listed under each contestant’s photo in the digital National Program Book for her age group. Fitness Wear Modeling fees count toward advertising awards, but no advertising space is given nor do they take the place of the required $1200 Queens’ sponsor fee.
Sponsor Fees, entry fees and all other pageant fees are non-refundable.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN AMERICAN COED?
A Coed is a female attending a co-educational college or university. A young woman referred to as a Coed calls to mind a dedicated student, preparing herself to become the very best person she can be, while having a blast at the same time!
IF I WIN MY MAC STATE PAGEANT, WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED OF ME?
Each MAC STATE PAGEANT WINNER is required to attend the National MAC Pageant to compete for the Queen's title for her age group. If the state pageant winner does not sign the MAC State Winner’s contract & attend the National MAC Pageant during the week of Thanksgiving in Lake Buena Vista, FL, she will forfeit her state title, all prizes, & cash awards.
DO I HAVE TO DO A TALENT TO COMPETE IN A MAC PAGEANT?
Our talent competition is optional. It is scored by a separate panel of judges than the panel that selects the overall queen in each age division. Optional contests have absolutely no bearing on who wins the pageant.
