MAC Pageants National Talent Competition

$150.00$300.00

All performances must be live and memorized. Do not
use sheet music if you are playing an instrument. Talent performances and costumes must be conservative
and age appropriate. Do not use songs with suggestive lyrics or song titles. Do not perform a suggestive
dance routine. Makeup is allowed in all age divisions during the Talent Competition. If you need music for
your performance, upload it using this link: https://goo.gl/pSzdhe. MAC Pageants will provide a piano, cordless microphone, sound system and sound technician.

Talent performances have a time limit of two minutes. At two minutes, a timer will sound and your microphone and/or music will fade out. At that time you must stop performing. No points will be deducted from your score if this occurs. The two minute time limit is enforced so each contestant performs for the same amount of time and so we can stay on schedule. Props are allowed but they should take no more than 10-15 seconds to set up on stage.

If you enter more than one talent, each talent performance must be significantly different. For example; you may enter a dance number and vocal piece or a contemporary vocal piece and an opera solo. If you are not sure if your talent entries are significantly different, please contact the National Office. If your performances are too similar, only the one scoring highest will be eligible to place in the top five. Sponsors may be listed under each contestant’s name and photo in the digital National Program Book for her age group.

A $150 Sponsor Fee is required of all National Talent Contestants for each entry.Talent fees count toward advertising awards, but no advertising space is given nor do they take the place of the required $1200 Queens’ sponsor fee.

Sponsor Fees, entry fees and all other pageant fees are non-refundable.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN AMERICAN COED?

A Coed is a female attending a co-educational college or university. A young woman referred to as a Coed calls to mind a dedicated student, preparing herself to become the very best person she can be, while having a blast at the same time!

IF I WIN MY MAC STATE PAGEANT, WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED OF ME?

Each MAC STATE PAGEANT WINNER is required to attend the National MAC Pageant to compete for the Queen's title for her age group. If the state pageant winner does not sign the MAC State Winner’s contract & attend the National MAC Pageant during the week of Thanksgiving in Lake Buena Vista, FL, she will forfeit her state title, all prizes, & cash awards.

DO I HAVE TO DO A TALENT TO COMPETE IN A MAC PAGEANT?

Our talent competition is optional. It is scored by a separate panel of judges than the panel that selects the overall queen in each age division. Optional contests have absolutely no bearing on who wins the pageant.
